Public Meetings and more.Introduction
1. We are holding programmes [ we were...] at the library in Broughton Astley. This is a large village between Leicester and Rugby. It is also close to Lutterworth and Hinckley. If you do not have Smart Card access, please arrive on time. We can let you in for attending these sessions, normally using Meeting Room 1. Further details given below are taken from our posters.
2. Gardening Therapy may be offered in July 2019. This is for people who are also trying our yoga meditation. 3. Outdoor Gym. We sometimes use the fitness equipment in Nelson Mandela Park, Leicester and at the Recreation Ground, in Frolesworth Road, Broughton Astley. We recommend some activity like this. However, all physical exercise does hold some risk. It is important to judge if it is suitable for you, so you are advised to seek guidance from a qualified medical person, such as a Chartered Physiotherapist. or a General Practitioner. Whatever you try, start in a small way, with things that are short and gentle. And 'warm up' a little before you step onto any equipment. [ Warning; November 2019. Yoga teachers are not medically qualified. External website, BBC News. Yoga teachers with serious hip problems ] Don't be fooled, later on, by books or so-called experts who advocate intense physical workouts, generally involving 20-30 minutes or more, for example, power walking, aerobics, body balance, circuit training, etc. These are extreme and are unnecessarily disruptive to the wellbeing of body and soul. That is our advice. Scientifically you will not prove it either way. But the advocates have no shortage of followers. Some common sense is needed. 4. 60:60 Wellbeing This is a home based fitness programme, consisting of 60 minutes per week of Easy Yoga activities and 60 minutes per week of simple fitness exercises. Note that we wrote simple. As for whether or not these exercises are challenging, that depends on your own condition. You may need some medical advice, as we wrote above, and you should start in a small way. Maybe a one minute exercise is enough, or a couple of 30 second warming up exercises. Three yoga sessions per week of 10 minutes each, plus two sessions of 15 minutes each. During the longer sessions, the feet would be in a bowl of warm, salty water. The salt and water are able to suck some unwanted energies from the body, mainly from the lower abdomen. Five 12 minute sessions of physical exercises, including warming up and cooling down. This part of the programme is under development. Some videos will be produced. 5. Leicester Outdoor Sessions
In July 2019, we hope to take some folding chairs and an 'A' board into the centre of Leicester, People would be able to try Easy Yoga there,

[ Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi, Auckland, New Zealand, 8th April, 1991. Shri Gauri Puja.speech. ] "We cannot afford to waste our time now because we have to save the whole world. It is our responsibility. If we do not now work out even our own chakras, we cannot help anyone. So, first of all, we must work out our own chakras and then we can help the whole world. It's not something like a cult or an organisation where you just say: 'I belong to this cult or this organisation. It's alright. I'll be saved by God!'
That's not promised in Sahaja Yoga. There's nothing like a ticket to heaven! It has to be worked out. You have to work it out and work it out with full understanding as to what is this Kundalini and how she works. May God Bless You!" |
