We mention some items of food and drink which we consider to be particularly healthy for most people. We are not offering a collection of slimming tips, alternative therapies or a lifestyle programme.
Sweet fruits including apple, apricot, avocado, banana, blackberry, blackcurrant, blueberry, cherry, date, fig, grape, pear, pomegranate, raspberry and strawberry. Also prunes and cranberries. Tomato, best to be cooked for older people.

Sweet fruit juice, not from concentrate, including pomegranate, grape, guava, lychee, mango. Black kokum juice drink, home made with added sugar or sugar candy.
Raisin and orange juice treatment for Haemorrhoids: In the morning, put some raisins into a bowl. Cover well with orange juice and consume the mixture before going to bed at night. Very cooling.
Vegetable juice including beetroot, cabbage, carrot, celery, courgette, kale, spinach.
Nuts including almond, brazil, cashew, hazelnut, pistachio, walnut.
Seeds including fennel, pumpkin, sesame, sunflower.
Vegetables, herbs and salads, preferably home grown. Beans including runner, french and broad - we have storage and recipe suggestions, beetroot and their leaves, cabbage, cauliflower - hard to grow but we have a good cooking recipe, celeriac, chard, dill, garlic including elephant garlic, Jerusalem artichokes, kale, leeks, onions, potatoes, peas, radishes, also their leaves and radish leaf tea, rocket, spinach, aubergine or eggplant - preparation tips available, chick peas. Coriander, parsley, mustard and rocket leaves. Also black olives with stones - the webmaster generally swallows the stones, provided they are not large or sharp.

Green tea, many types of herbal tea, basil tea and Vitamin C treatment, instant chicory drink including Prewetts organic plus our own 'chicolatte' drink with spices. Boiled white rice - for example basmati, wholemeal bread, chicken liver - preparation and cooking suggestions, sardines, meat from small animals, e.g. chicken, lamb or pork, as alternatives to beef, which is a large animal.
Poor Diet [ section under development ]
In our opinion, the following are not healthy:
Palm oil, rapeseed oil, honey from rapeseed pollen, white flour, mushrooms, cheeses with mould, such as gorgonzola, sugar replacement sweeteners, such as saccharin, margarine and many butter replacement spreads, alcohol, genetically modified products and cooking with microwaves.
