We mention some items of food and drink which we consider to be particularly healthy for most people. We are not offering a collection of slimming tips, alternative therapies or a lifestyle programme.
Sweet fruits including apple, apricot, avocado, banana, blackberry, blackcurrant, blueberry, cherry, date, fig, grape, pear, pomegranate, raspberry, strawberry, tomato - cooked for older people. Also prunes and cranberry.
Sweet fruit juice, not from concentrate, including grape, guava, lychee, mango, pomegranate. Black kokum juice drink - home made with added sugar or sugar candy.
Vegetable juice including beetroot, cabbage, carrot, celery, courgette, kale, spinach.
Nuts including almond, brazil, cashew, coconut, hazelnut, pistachio, walnut.

Vegetables, herbs and salads, preferably home grown, beans including runner, french and broad - we have storage and recipe suggestions, beetroot and their leaves, cabbage, cauliflower - hard to grow - we have a good recipe, chard, garlic including elephant garlic, kale, leeks, onions, potatoes, peas, radishes and radish leaf tea, spinach, aubergine or eggplant - preparation tips available, chick peas. Coriander, parsley, mustard, rocket. Also black olives with stones - sometimes we even swallow the stones.
